  • While It Lasts…

I suddenly felt the urge to send you an SMS.

    It read, “Good morning. :)”

You replied with a phone call.

    “Good morning.” You said.

    “Have you had your breakfast?”

“What time did you get to the office?”

    “Is your car okay?”

Then, for the whole day, I was floating on air.

I don’t know how long this will last because you were once there for me and then left without a word. And now you’re here again and I don’t know if your intentions are that the same of mine. Or if you feel the same way too.

    Or…if you’re just passing by.

But whatever it is, I will savour every moment I have till it ends..

    while it lasts..

  • The Cat

I was having dinner with Pappy just now and I saw this cat, its tail was extraordinarily furry. While eating, I was just looking at it.

Reminds me of a cat I met on the night I arrived Sandakan, just recently during the Chinese New Year holidays. We were having dinner at a restaurant and there were three cats standing at the next table, waiting for food to drop from the table. One of them was very fat. It looked like Garfield.

The people at the next door table left so this fat cat approached our table. It stood next to me and peered up at me. Comel, ok? Comel.

So, I gave it some food. But it wasn’t enough for her.

    Know what it did?

She raised her paws and placed it on the legs of my chair. Almost touching my lap. Gave me a meow. Gave me a pitiful “Please, some more food, please?” look.

My heart melted and I started sourcing other plates on the table for food that I could give to this meow. Mum’s, Dad’s, Uncle Chai’s.

It was happily eating after I got her one roasted chicken skin. Looks tasty to me too.

The little girl from another table came and pinched the cat. Actually, it was a sign of affection but I guess it looked too cute to her that she has just got to pinch it.

    Garfield the cat enjoyed it.

  • The Flying Ball

    *BANG!*

Something banged against the grill door. Must be the kids’ toy.

I went out and found a ball landed at the balcony.

The boys, ran helter-skelter and hid behind the wall so that I could not see them. So funny!

I took the ball and was waiting for a sign. One of them just have to show up so that I can return the ball.

One boy braved himself and said, “Sorry!”

I threw the ball to him.

Another boy appeared and he smiled at me. He said sorry too.

    “It’s okay!” I smiled too.

I’m a very kind monster today.

  • All Smiles

I was doing some very boring work in the office today but once in a while, I will smile stupidly to the computer screen.

This is so wrong but it feels so good.

  • Boring kan? Every Day I Write About My Car

The service centre opens at 9 in the morning and I was there 9 sharp. The workers were still sitting outside. The shop wasn’t open yet. Good, I’m the first customer.

So, I told the guy about the funny thing my car is doing. Actually it’s not that funny. ha-ha-ha

    Conclusion: No water. No coolant.

    😮

    Fantastic!

I shouldn’t have assume that the workshop who repaired my car after the accident had fix my car in perfect condition. Lesson of the day, after an accident, after you get it repaired at the workshop, go check if everything is enough.

So you see, I almost cause the death of my car. Luckily, everything is alright. Will have to test for another few days, to see if there’s any leakage to the radiator. One good thing is I’m learning a little bit more about the car. Things that I don’t bother to know, I have to know now.

I like the people at the service centre. Very kind and the one who attended to my car quite leng chai also. Even ask me “Miss, do you need anyone to send you back first?”

Wah, I have to work leh.

I was late to work today so I have to replace the missed hours tomorrow because a friend called me up for dinner. Had Bah Kut Teh.

“If I don’t look for you, who will look for you? I see you like no friends one.”

    So sad meh?

“Why you look so green today?”

    Green in Cantonese means pale.

“You get frightened very easily, right?”

    “How do you know?”

“By looking at your eyes, the distance between the two eyes..”

Actually, I don’t know what he saw but he was right. I get frightened very easily and that is why I don’t watch horror movies, I don’t watch some of the thrillers, sometimes too much blood or cruel or barbaric killing scene does no good to me. I can jump off my seat in the cinema if there’s a loud noise out of a sudden and then my mind will replay whatever scene that is “interesting” over and over again.

But that is not the reason why I looked “green” today.

Very tired. Need to go to bed.

    *snore*

  • From C to H

I don’t know when it is going to end. The car..it’s showing me signs again.

Started the engine after work to find that the temperature gauge needle is sitting below C, which is not in its normal place. It should be in between C and H. Slowly, as I drove on, the needle went back to its normal place so I thought everything is back to normal.

It was raining and the road is congested with cars. Yeap, traffic jam. A bad one today. As I reached the toll, the temperature rose to H. That was scary! Can cry! Thought of pulling over but I was still stuck in a traffic jam and the first thing that came to my mind was – aircon.

I quickly turned off the aircon and the temperature went back to normal again…so I prayed hard that the car won’t explode and blow me into pieces. I almost suffocated to death too because I couldn’t wind down the window too much, as it was still drizzling and that I do not want any motorist to pull anything or pull me out of the car. And because the cars are moving so slowly, there wasn’t any breeze that could come in through the little gap of the car window.

I arrived home safely with normal temperature reading. I parked the car and tried switching on the aircon again. Within 3 minutes, the temperature rose again…so I really don’t know what is wrong. Wanted to check the coolant level, not that I know how but I’m going to try tomorrow morning because it was already dark and the engine is still very hot.

Will be driving to the service centre to get it checked again. I really hope I can get there in one piece without my car breaking down or whatsoever.

  • RM 410

You know, I discovered after almost two years how to adjust the digital clock of my car. After the accident, the clock wasn’t showing me the right time and I just didn’t know where to adjust it. Until today, I parked the car and read my car manual and found the button that I could twist to adjust the time.

I don’t know why I get happy and excited over little stuff like this but I was happy after having adjusted the clock.

The day before yesterday, I went to service the car alone. It’s the first time I went to get the car service by myself because all this while, it’s either Pappy or Mummy that would go with me. And sometimes Pappy will drive the car to get it serviced because he doesn’t want me to go alone.

This time around, they are not in KL and because I just met with an accident, it just felt safe to check the car as something wasn’t right about the car. The malfunction indicator light is on even though I have got enough brake and engine oil. It happened after I got the car from the workshop, so I decided to get the car another check, this time at the service centre which I usually visit.

The sensor is spoilt and I’m not sure if it’s spoilt because of the accident or that during repair, the workshop guy helped to banged it till it’s not crooked. And because I cannot claim insurance for that sensor, I had to fork out RM410, with service charge included to replace it with an original sensor.

So there goes my RM400 but it’s okay. I can earn it back again.

I want to work extra hard this month.

  • I Am Very Happy Today

but I cannot tell you why!
