    Solar-Powered Toy

    looking at you!

Tell me how can you not be happy when you have this solar-powered shaking toy on your working desk?

    His name is Sunny Boy.

And because it is so cute, Sunny Boy has been rotating on two of my colleagues’ desk. One colleague just came to my desk took it without asking me and placed it on her desk.  /:)

  • Happy New Year!

After the dinner last night, Pappy and I went home and waited for the countdown. There were fireworks everywhere. On the television. Outside my kitchen window, that of One Utama and The Curve. And out of nowhere, outside the balcony. The fireworks weren’t totally visible to me. I could only see the ones that fire up high in the sky.

The bar outside had a countdown party and it played music till the wee hours of the morning. 2 something in the morning and they were still partying. It took me some time to fall asleep due to the loud music.

Woke up to find my left thigh more swollen than ever due to an insect bite. I don’t know what bit me. It started off itchy and so I thought it was just a minor mosquito bite..but when I came back from dinner last night, it started to swell and it’s very red. Apply some ointment but it’s not helping. I think it got worse.

The diameter of the swollen area is that of an egg yolk. Actually it looks like there’s a fried egg on my left thigh. Surrounding the swollen area is painful too and it’s pinkish. So that makes the whole swollen area the size of my palm.

Pappy flew back today and I miss him. I’m happy that he came. I don’t know where else I could find a dad like him.

Anyway, I’ve wanted to write some flashback of the year 2007 as mentioned and what I want to do in 2008, that hopefully appear in my next entry. Till then, good night and have a very good day at work tomorrow.

  • New Year’s Eve at Kura

Had dinner with Pappy at Kura Japanese Restaurant, One World Hotel. Pappy loves Japanese food and I was very excited and happy to go out on a date with Pappy. He wore the long sleeve shirt I got for him on his birthday. The one that he thinks is not nice but look what he’s doing now. Always wearing it on special occasions. 🙂

An SOS button in the middle of this picture. We were seated in a corner, in a cube-like table setting. Perfect for couples I would say. Nobody can see you. Nobody can disturb you. And when you need someone to serve you or to call for the bill, just press the button and someone will appear to be at your service.

    Fried Puffer Fish

Pappy said we must order something “funny”. This is funny enough. A plate of fried puffer fish!

The Year End Sale is over. Tomorrow would be the New Year Sale. I’m going shopping again tomorrow. Maybe just window shopping with Pappy. And when I come back, I’d need to write a review of the year 2007 and aspirations for the brand new 2008.

    Happy New Year! 🙂

  • YES

    Year End Sale.

    I like!

I’m just in the mood for shopping. I guess it’s the Christmas mood, the holiday mood, the end of the year mood and the new year mood, all mixed up to give me that shopping mood.

I walked for about 6 hours today. Yeah, ladies don’t get tired when they go shopping. I bought myself a pair of black heels. The highest heel I have so far which stands at about 2.5 inches. I usually go for 1.5 or 2. I don’t really know how to walk in heels higher than that. This 2.5 is still fine but strictly only for dinners. I don’t think I can walk around at work with a 2.5 or maybe I can but my brain isn’t train to think that I can.

I bought a new swimming suit too, plus a goggle. My goggle suffered a sudden death and so I had to replace it. And with that, I gave myself excuse to get a new swim suit because the old one is a bit tight…which only means I’m growing or in other words, I’M GETTING FATTER. I like my new swim suit. Black too with a few flowers on the side.

    Working skirts.

    Tees.

    3 for RM10 earrings.

Bread for breakfast at work tomorrow.

Oh…and a little toy. You know the one that works with solar power? The one that nods its head. I’ve been craving for this for months. The usual ones are priced around RM39. Some 40 plus. Just last week, I saw a mini version of it and it is only RM19.80. BUT I still didn’t get it because I was still thinking whether I should. Today I felt like getting it but unfortunately there were only 2 left at the store I went to. There were other kinds of solar powered toys…like monkey, ultraman, hello kitty which I didn’t quite like. So, I could only choose between the remaining 2…and I chose a purple one.

And I only realised I was only charged RM8.90 instead of RM19.80 when I was out of the store, watching a musical performance. 😮

Pappy flew in today, only for 2 nights. Just to celebrate the new year with me. He was asking if I have any plans for new year’s eve. Supposedly, I had one but it was cancelled due to insufficient headcounts so I’m back to no plans. Don’t know if there’s any last minute plan but I just told Pappy that if he wanted to come over, then I will make myself with no plans…so that when he comes over, I’ll be dining or just spending time with him. Mummy is busy so she’s not here. She has been attending functions and birthday parties and more parties since Christmas. My mum is lucky because she married my Dad and my Dad always makes sure his ladies are happy. I am one of his ladies. 😉

  • Shop!

Bought a green top today. It’s very pretty. A colleague who shopped with me got the same piece too, but it’s red. Together, we make a happy Christmas tree! 😀

I’m really in the mood for shopping. Tomorrow’s going to be another round of shopping by myself!

    Corn Soup

Didn’t know what to eat with rice so I had sweet corn and minced meat soup for dinner. 3 big bowls. 🙂

  • And now, the end is near

My colleagues and I, 4 of us, went to Secret Recipe for lunch today. Just wanted to eat out together as our last lunch on a working day for 2007. I’ll be working on New Year’s Eve but a few of them are not…so today was the only day we could get together before we usher in the year 2008.

The first time I went to Secret Recipe, Cyberjaya when they first opened, the service was bad. Really bad. And so after a few months, we decided to give it another try but you know what? I don’t think I’ll go there for lunch anymore. I guess having a drink and some cakes is still fine. But just not the food. I ordered Grilled Chicken Mushroom and it was very salty. It always tastes nice whenever I order this when dining at Secret Recipe…but not at this branch in Cyberjaya.

Tomorrow I’d need to think of what I wanna do in 2008.

    I love Anuar Zain.

    And it’s time for bed.

  • Jam and More Jam

Last night, it took me 2 hours to get home. It was crappy really. With the rain and the traffic jam, it felt like I was waiting endlessly. I reached home, feeling crappy and had crappy dinner.

This morning, it’s back to the same thing. I was late for work and it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to the office. Why? Just after Sunway toll, there was a horrible jam. It took me close to an hour just to get from IOI mall towards Tractors Malaysia Puchong. There was a lorry carrying glass products. I cannot make out what it is actually. It look like those Chinese tea transparent glasses. Some of the boxes tumbled down from the lorry and glasses were strewn on all lanes of the highway. People were sweeping the rubble of glasses away and we had to just drive pass those tiny pieces of glasses which by then looked like white dust on the road. I was afraid I would get a tyre puncture.

That is really dangerous. I hope no one and no cars or motorcycles was involved in that accident. I think when you transport glass products, you should transport it in a covered container. Not like the lorry just now who just stacked up all the boxes on an open-covered lorry.

And with that, I had to work late to replace the lost hours and tonight I’m just going to have a hot milo. No dinner. Too tired to cook. Last night’s dinner was Korean noodles and I don’t think I would like to have another meal of instant noodles tonight.

I will treat myself to a good meal tomorrow instead.

  • Happy Boxing Day!

    And here I go again…

  • Feliz Navidad!

Went down to Times Square today as I have a date with my friend at 3pm at Sungei Wang. Jalan Dewan Bahasa was closed so I had to take an alternative route to get to Times Square and I seriously don’t know the way. I just simply drove around following signs towards Pudu and managed to reach Times Square at 3pm.

And do you know what time my friend came? After 5:30pm!! I waited for more than 2 hours and 30 minutes. The last time I went out with her, I waited for one hour. I think it’s a bit too much this time lah. I spent the entire 2 hours plus, walking in Times Square, scouring every floor and every shop that sells shoes and clothes.

By the time she came, I met her at Sungei Wang and I was in no mood to walk already. After about 15-20 minutes or so, I told her I’m going off. Another friend called up so I felt like having dinner with her and her group of friends.

But then it was raining so I couldn’t get to the other side. The rain looked like it wasn’t going to stop so I had to walk quickly under the rain to get to the overhead bridge that links to Times Square. There was no traffic jam and I went out with another group of friends at Taman Megah…at this restaurant that serves mainly bittergourd dishes. Quite nice.

When I came home, there was another road closure. This time it’s the staircase towards my house. A mother cat and her 3 kittens were resting on the staircase and I was walking slowly towards it, to tell her I come with no harmful intention. But she got up and starting hissing at me. Mother cats are usually fiercer when they have their small ones around them.

So I didn’t want to take the risk to be scratched at, I’ve tried that once already you see. I took another staircase leading towards another apartment unit and then got up using another staircase from the car park to my house.

I came back with something after walking alone while waiting for more than 2 hours, else..I think I would be so mad. I was mad but I was still able to talk to her in a nice tone and I was smiling. It’s Christmas so my mood is good and I wanted it to be good. This is what I got for myself. A pair of shoes. I had intended to get myself a black shoes but my eyes only recognise the colour white. White shoes attracts me very much. I’ve got a few collection of white shoes really. I hope this is the last white pair I’m getting myself.
